It Was Clear That She Was From Another Time

Just a few images I have found around the web for inspiration for my very own homemade pair!!

Pictures from weheartit.com

In the great words of Jamiroquai, 'I must have died and gone to heaven', these lace bell bottoms are absolutely perfect in any colour. I do prefer the black ones though, having said that i think the white lace ones look beautiful with the perfect copper tone tan.... *sigh*....if only!! Now i have done my homework on these beauties and with much regret i have to come to terms with the fact that they are just outside of my price range if my price range was crazy amounts of money but i am a student with student money, which means I cannot justify paying over £30 for a pair. So I have found a way around my fashion fatal by making my own pair!! Don't look too shocked i have made pairs of shorts before from scratch, so i guess making trousers is just the same but with more material, right? Anyways i will keep you updated on my very own pair of lace bell bottoms fingers crossed they work.

Peace x

Papa Was a Copper and Mama Was a Hippie

All images from The Other F Word

"The Other F Word is a raucous, eye-opening, sad and unexpectedly wise look at veteran punk rockers as they adapt to the challenges of fatherhood. To be sure, watching foul- mouthed, colorfully inked musicians attempt to fit themselves into Ward Cleaver's smoking jacket provides for some consistently hilarious situational comedy, but the film's deeper delving into a whole generation of artists clumsily making amends for their own absentee parents could strike a resonant note with anyone (punk or not) who's stumbled headfirst into family life."

- Andrew Barker, Variety

I can't wait for this film to come out on DVD here in the UK, I know, I know, it is still airing in the cinemas in America, but c'mon they need to share the love and bring it out over here. I have always been interested in other peoples lives, nosey much?, not in a creepy way, but i am just interested in how other people live the way they do and how much it differs from the way i was brought up. Especially as this focuses mainly on the 'dads' that are in their children's lives and how they manage with being fathers to their children. The Other F Word is a small glimpse into the lives of punk rock dads, and i cannot wait to see what happens!! Oh and did i mention that TONY HAWK !!!! was going to be in it too .... *sigh*.......

Waiting on the World to Change

"You Wouldn't of Hit Him..... These Knuckles, Pristine"

Adrien Brody performs beautifully in this film, The Experiment, a remake of the German psychological thriller 'Das Experiment'. The film centres around a group of ordinary men - one man in particular, Travis- who answer an add in a newspaper for subjects to take part in research study; taking on the roles of guards and prisoners examining how the effects of said assigned roles affect the participants. We see what power and authority can do to certain people and how even the gentle minded of people can turn against their own morals to cope in any situation. This film is powerful and saddening all at the same time; although the main body of this film is to open your eyes to how fragile the human mind can be and how the slightest change of circumstances can shift a whole moral balance. I personally soften to the love story that runs through the hard times of this film; through Bay played by Maggie Grace of Lost, and Travis played by Adrien Brody the story has an undercurrent of love and fate as the two find each other through Travis' experience. Also the cinematography of the film is absolutely beautiful mixing the harsh scenes of the prison with the exotic colours of India.......just beautiful.

She Walks Like Summer and Looks Like Rain

My lust for Erin Wasson has spanned over many years as she just keeps getting cooler with each passing moment. Part hippie, part rocker their is something about her unique style that I cant quite get over; whether it is that fact that it looks so effortless for her to pair together items of clothes that any average person wouldn't image would ever make a great look. Her quirky fashion sense added to her trinket style tattoos just add to her care-free, bohemian image. Erin Wasson is always one of my favourite people to gain inspiration from when it comes to my own wardrobe conquests.
